1. Can characters visit other locations? Who is there?
Yes. Characters can travel where they normally would, but the year is 2023 so your character is either living in the past, present, or future, depending on where they come from. There is also only one version of a character in THIS universe so you won't run into your future/past self and mess up the timelines. For example, New York is really New York, but people are emerging from this portal into a pocket dimension. They have all their memories up to the point they come from, but if they travel to their hometown they won't run into their future/past selves. The SNAP did bring people back so it is in the news that people not from their time are coming in too. I'd be careful with NPCs that might be played, but I welcome using villains from the various universes since they aren't really characters people can play long-term.
2. Is New York really New York? Are our characters alone?
All places that exist in New York exist here. The characters exist with people already living in it.
3. Can my character access their clothes or money?
If characters have a tangible way to obtain their resources/clothes/etc., I'm for it.
4. Can people go home?
Tony can't send people back at will. Only accidentally.
5. Who controls the portal?
Tony tries, but he is ultimately at a loss. This means villains can and will spring up.
6. Is any place off limits to travel?
Nothing is off limits if the person can reasonably get to it either through their powers or traditional travel means.
7. Do powers work?
Magic works! The only limitation is they can't transport themselves home. Also, disclaimer, if someone DID want to play a villain long term, there would need to be limits in that regard so they don't destroy the dimension.
8. What do the apartments look like?
Apartments have 1-4 bedrooms depending on who is living there. If your character has no family in game, he or she will live in a one bedroom. There is a kitchen and laundry facility, but there are also bigger facilities, including game rooms, in communal areas to encourage interaction.
9. How do they get money?
Tony will set them up with bank accounts on arrival and place $10,000 in the accounts. All basic needs, like food, clothing, etc. will be taken care of. Adults will eventually need to find jobs. Children will always be taken care of.
